Kuurdak: Traditional Kyrgyz Fried Meat & Potatoes

Ingredients
  

  • 500 Grams Lean meat
  • 1 Cup of chopped Green onions
  • 4 pc Potatoes
  • 1 pc Onion
  • As needed Salt and pepper
  • 3 Cloves Garlic
  • 1 Glass Water
  • 1 Oil Cup

Method
 

  1. 1-Sauté sliced onion and chopped garlic in oil until golden.
  2. 2-Add diced meat and brown it thoroughly.
  3. 3-Season with salt and pepper (and optional spices).
  4. 4-Pour in water and simmer for 1–2 hours until meat is tender.
  5. 5-Add cubed potatoes and cook for another 45–60 minutes.
  6. 6-Garnish with chopped green onions and serve with bread or rice.
