- Step 1
- Chop the onion and fry it with a little oil and spices in a deep pot until soft. (Do not add salt yet.)
- Step 2
- Add chickpeas and pour in 2 cups of hot water. Cook for about 2 hours until the chickpeas soften. Add salt at the end.

- Serve with thyme powder, lemon juice, or bread for a richer flavor.
